I am indebted to two people for this website. The first is Nicola Slee, whose poetry workshop six years ago started me writing poetry.

I write poems for my own enjoyment, but there comes a point at which it’s nice if someone reads them. So for several years I made up very small paper books of the years’ poems and sent them to my friends and relations at Christmas. I was pleasantly surprised that some people told me that they liked them, so I have decided to “publish” them on this website.

The second person to whom I am indebted is John Lockett*, who two years ago set up two beautifully designed websites of my language courses: www.breakthrough-to-learning.co.uk and www.languageofideas.co.uk.

John has also designed this poetry site and put up all my poems to date. I shall be able to add to it if I write any more.
Each booklet, starting from 2008 “Every ball a coconut!” appears as a link on the “Collections of Poems” menu on the right. The News above link is a micro blog page and the “About this site” link, also above, brings you back here, in case you get lost!
